Thai Basil is a cultivar of Sweet Basil and bears no resemblance to Tulsi or Holy Basil.
Thai basil leaves are deep green and smaller than those of Western basil, and arranged on purple stems.
Often called Anise Basil or Liquorice Basil because of it's flavour it is a wonderful basil for cooking and eating generally.
It holds it's flavour in almost any dish and will withstand considerable cooking.
Happy in full sun, the leaves can also be dried very well for later.
